Microalgae

Microalgae (including cyanobacteria) are one-celled photosynthetic microorganisms which have populated fresh, brackish and salt water for three billion years. Currently, there are more than 200,000 species, of which only about a dozen are cultivated throughout the world. The study of microalgae began at the beginning of the 20th century. Research revealed their potential for multiple applications in the sectors of nutrition, cosmetics, pharmacology, chemistry and energy.

What is spirulina?

Spirulina is a blue-green algae from the division of Cyanobacteria, which contributed to the emergence of life on earth. This microalgae is exceptionally rich in components: proteins, carbohydrates, micronutrients, vitamins… Its richness promotes muscle gain and maintenance, contributes greatly to reducing fatigue and also permits the normal function of the immune system.
